Great development only happens from great design.

I am an eLearning developer and instructional designer focused on developing engaging, interactive, and gamified learning experiences. I get asked a lot, "How did you end up doing that?" It's a valid question considering I studied geography in college. To be honest, I pretty much stumbled into this field a little over 5 years ago and haven't looked back since, continuing my education and earning a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology. My career to this point has primarily been focused in the software industry, however, I have great personal interest in designing and developing effective online learning experiences in K-12 and higher education environments. Rarely turning down opportunities to learn and professionally develop, I've had great experiences witnessing class projects morph into actual courses, help companies build full scale eLearning solutions from nothing to something, as well as technically develop new innovative accessibility solutions for online learning environments. Taking part in professional development opportunities and continually immersing myself in the ever growing world of educational technology, allows me to do what I love while never actually feeling like I'm "working".
